Asian wedding customs

There are many lovely customs to choose from if you’re planning an Eastern bride custom. These rituals, which date back thousands of years, are intended to unite couples, families, and friends.

In a traditional Korean ceremony, the bride and groom don hanboks, which are colourful, light garments with plain lines and no hands. While orange hanboks represent intelligence, red ones stand for fidelity and cleanliness. The partners may also decide to don a black or white hanbok. Numerous rituals are performed during the kunbere meeting, which is held at the family altar. Among them are toasts from guests and family members, ring exchanges, and the couple’s vows.

Respectable older ladies assist the bride and groom in tying their hair with colorful cotton threads before the meeting. A procession of feminine relatives then leads them to the community altar and presents the bride and groom with two flowers seeds or two cleaned dates. After that, a family member serves them chai that has been poured into goblets and fastened with reddish strings. The couple therefore bows three times in reverence for sky, their parents, and their predecessors. Then comes a supper.
